The lion dance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other traditional, cultural and religious festivals. It may also be performed at important occasions such as business opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be used to honour special guests by the Chinese communities. Generally, it is physically demanding, but also quite satisfying when the whole team works together to bring out the best of each performance. In terms of benefits, the practitioners become stronger, more agile, faster and have a good team spirit cooperation. In addition, you are helping this Chinese Culture continue to thrive and that is quite a proud thing to do. One of the side effects of Chinese lion dance, in particular, the Southern style can liven up the whole atmosphere of any event! The drumming alone, together with cymbals and gong can be quite mesmerising and additive!
